For this business trip to Nanning, I specifically booked the Jiangjing Business Room at Yongjiang Hotel Nanning. As an old luxury hotel that completed a comprehensive renovation in 2019, I only realized after staying that its room facilities completely broke away from the stereotype of an 'old hotel', balancing practicality and comfort perfectly.
The first impression of pushing open the 33 square meter door is that it is spacious and bright, without any redundant decorations. The warm European style decoration is full of texture, and the silent carpet laid throughout the house feels soft when stepped on. Walking with a suitcase will not make any harsh noise, even if you return to the room late at night, you don't have to worry about disturbing the neighboring guests. The smart card insertion and power supply design at the entrance is very thoughtful. After inserting the card, the main lighting of the whole house will slowly light up, without the need to search for switches in the dark. Just after taking a walk back from the Yongjiang River, the warm light wrapped around the river breeze instantly relieves the coolness.
What surprised me the most was the work area by the window. The 1.8-meter-wide solid wood writing desk reserved a full 5 power ports, with USB-A, USB-C, and three hole sockets fully covered. Laptops, phones, and portable power banks can be charged simultaneously without having to search for power strips everywhere. The small tea table by the window is also equipped with local tea sets and free tea leaves. Brewing a cup of Liubao tea, sitting by the window can directly face the river view of Yongjiang. Even if you don't leave the room, you can enjoy a relaxing and alone time.

It is a treasure destination for business travelers to Nanning.
The hotel is located at No.1 Linjiang Road, Qingxiu District, built along the Yongjiang River. It takes less than 10 minutes by taxi from Nanning Station and only over 600 meters to walk to Xinmin Road Subway Station. It's completely hassle free to carry a suitcase back and forth to the station. When checking in, the staff at the front desk were enthusiastic and thoughtful. Upon learning that it was my first time visiting Nanning, they took the initiative to hand me a hand drawn map of the surrounding cuisine. Even the old and famous stalls that locals often go to at the Zhongshan Road night market were clearly marked for me. They even reminded me that there was no need to queue up during the morning rush hour at the morning tea shops in Sanjie and Liangxiang, and that taking the hotel's shortcut could save me a lot of time.

In the evening, you can take a walk on the Yongjiang Trail, and at night, you can go straight to the night market to eat old friend noodles and sour food. You don't have to take a taxi to take a detour, just a few steps away can taste the authentic taste of Nanning. Even if you want to go further to Qingxiu Mountain, you can get there directly from the nearby subway station, without wasting time on commuting.
After three days of staying at the hotel, Yongjiang Hotel Nanning did not lie in the halo of the "old five-star" and eat old books.
